David: I would like to cancel my service
AOL: Oh really?  are you sure you dont want to stay?  How about another free month of service?
David: No, thanks
AOL: How about another 3 months of free serivce?
David: No, thanks
AOL: Well, why not?
David: No.  Cancel me right now.

It's great.  AOL is the best.  I get free internet while waiting for my dsl to arrive and then customer reps grovel and beg me to get more free internet.  Alas, i had to turn them down.

why are there so many weddings these days?  I've had to two people invite me to their weddings in the past week.  Am I getting so old that my friends are starting to get married?  Damn ... that's scary.

technology is great.  i love technology.  it makes my life so easy.  why am i saying this now?  well, my dsl has been connected and i feel once again connected to the world.  and now i will cancel my AOL and not pay them a dime ... ahh, this is the life!

I have too much junk.  It took a whole Chevy Venture packed from floor to ceiling to move me back.  And this is without my desk and chairs!  Crazy.  At least at home, I get lots of room.  Books and office stuff in the office and clothes in the bedroom.  Nice thing about being home.  My one room here is bigger than my entire apartment in Berkeley.

The internet is my life.  I cannot live without it.  Is this a bad thing?  Being hooked and can't let go?  So I am now using and abusing the AOL system where I can "try" it for 45 days for free.  My dsl is coming on June 3rd.  Then i will be cancelling my AOL and tell them "i tried and i did not like it."  hahah ... is that too shady?  I got a good deal on my dsl too.  1st month free, and then 25 bucks for the next two months, then full price.

Who would have thought I'd blog again.  But yes, it is I and I am back.  Maybe it'll be a way to keep in touch with old friends.

->college reflection
On the drive down from Berkeley back home, when my parents are soundly asleep, i took that time to reflect on my past four years in college.  What a time it has been.  I've been excited, depressed, and excited again.  I came when i was 16 and left well into my "middle age."  I already miss college and all that it meant.  Though there were a difficult test or two, a long night or two ... damn, I miss college.
